The sun has set, the dim street lights illuminate the heart of the city. All of a sudden the cream of Jozi's cosmopolitan make their way into the streets of Newtown- the joys of a perfect urban lifestyle. This sleek venue represents a pure alternative social lifestyle, offering an experimental yet accessible variety of beats to a chilled yet tasteful evening. Carved tree stump tables, a seating area composed of mattresses, an array of plastic purple pot plants and a sci-fi lit DJ box all dimly lit by suspended yellow lights create an ambience that will appeal least in some way to every person who walks through that door. Illuminated spirit and liqueur bottles highlight the bar, where the cocktails (some original and some creatively concocted by the peeps of Fuel themselves) and home-made barone vodka are worth experimentation. For those who get the midnight munchies Fuel serves a delectable variety of meals such as wraps, snacks and burgers at extremely good value for money. With Fuel café bringing in a range of great djs, with the likes of Phat Jack and many more, this is to say the least a venue not to be missed.
